Back to School Information

Good Afternoon, Goodnight Families!

This is Mrs. Glaeser with some important reminders as we begin our first day on Monday, August 31st!

Masks are mandatory for all K12 Pueblo District 60 students who are attending in person.  All students  at Goodnight must have a mask to come to school in person every day unless there is a documented medical accommodation on file with our school. Thank you for your cooperation to ensure that our school is healthy and safe!

Please take time to view our school map on Facebook or our school website to know where your child will enter and exit the building each day. If you haven't liked us on Facebook yet, please do! Messages will always be sent to you on Sundays with the weekly events and announcements. Please contact us if you are not receiving our messages.

Unfortunately, no visitors are allowed in the building or our playground area due to our safety guidelines. Also, no food deliveries can be accepted. If your child forgets their lunch, they will be served a free school lunch instead. Please have your child bring a water bottle to school every day. Your child will also receive an electronic device that they will take home each day. Please make sure it is fully charged and returned to school every day with the charger.

Again, your child needs to be wearing a mask every day when they arrive on campus, bring a filled water bottle and their fully charged electronic device with the charger.

We are all working together to follow all safety guidelines as this is our number one priority for our students and staff. We appreciate your patience and support during this unprecedented time.

We look forward to seeing our Goodnight Longhorns!
Thank you and have a nice weekend!

Hello Goodnight Families!

Students who will be attending IN PERSON learning will receive their devices on Monday, August 31st during our  first day of school.

By August 14 - Select 100% Virtual or In-Person Option

posted Aug 5, 2020, 7:42 AM by Alison Selle   [ updated Aug 6, 2020, 2:48 PM ]

As part of Pueblo School District 60's Return to School Plan for the 2020-21 school year (Plan in Spanish), K-12 students and their families have the option of participating in a 100% online instructional option, (or returning to in-person instruction).

To request participation in 100% virtual instruction:

To request that one or more of your children participate in a 100% online instructional option, parents must complete the request for full online instruction" form located on Parent Portal. We are asking that parents complete one request per child whom you want to attend fully online by Friday, August 14, 2020.

If you do not have a Parent Portal or have difficulties using it, please call the Parent Help Line at 719-549-7111.

Families who do not complete the survey will be automatically enrolled in the fully in person (K-5) or hybrid in person (6-12) model.

  1. log onto your district Parent Portal and select the "Survey" tab,

  2. click the “Request for Full-Online Instruction” link and click “Start,” and

  3. answer the five questions and click “Complete Survey.”

Please note: All families are asked to commit to a minimum of one semester for their instructional delivery model of choice before being allowed to make changes to a different model. Changes in the middle of the semester may be requested for hardship situations.

Virtual Learning Model Descriptive Elements and Rationale:

  • Provides alternative learning option for families who prefer a fully online option or for students who for health reasons are unable to attend in person learning
  • For staffing reasons, families who choose this option will be asked to commit to a minimum of one semester of fully online learning before being allowed to transfer back to in person learning
  • All parents of in person learners will be given the option of transferring to the fully online option at semester
  • A “hardship” transfer request process will be in place for requesting a change in instructional model in the middle of the semester
  • All students will be issued a technology device. Students in grades K-1 will receive an iPad; students in grades 2-12 will receive a Chromebook
  • Grades K-5 will engage in ½ day (AM or PM) synchronous learning taught by a D60 elementary teacher using Google Meet, and ½ day asynchronous learning lessons and will utilize D60 Board adopted elementary curriculum materials
  • Grades 6-12 will engage in asynchronous learning and will utilize Board adopted APEX self-paced online courses. D60 content licensed teachers will manage APEX student accounts and reach out to students individually to provide supplementary instructional lessons and support
  • ESS, CLDE, READ Act, and GT support will be provided by a D60 qualified teacher to those students who qualify
  • Social emotional support and counseling services will be provided as needed by the home school
  • Students will remain enrolled in their home school to provide easy transition back to in person learning when appropriate
  • Virtual online instructors will be hired from existing staff. Priority will be placed on teachers who request an accomodation and meet the definition of "Vulnerable Individuals” under the Governor's current order. A group interview process will be conducted at the district level.
  • Additional recommendations from a K-12 online teacher feedback group will be shared with district and school leadership for implementation
